How to download and install the Zoom client app

Please download and install the application from the link below, depending on the device you are using. (You can participate in the application through your browser, but we recommend you to use the application.)

For oral presenters

General Notes

  • All speakers are invited to present using Zoom's screen sharing function. Therefore, we would appreciate it if you could create an account in advance so that you can join the Zoom meeting.

Preparation before the meeting

  • Please prepare your presentation slides in advance and bring a computer or tablet with an internet connection to display them. The equipment must have at least a microphone (a camera is not required).
  • A communication line of a certain quality is necessary for smooth presentation. Please check in advance if the line is suitable for your presentation.
  • Participation in the meeting room is basically the same as in the auditorium. Please confirm the participation procedure in the Auditor section.

For Speakers of Poster Presentations

  • For the poster presentation, we use Remo as described above. The details of the preparation and use of the system will be described in due course.

For the Audience

  • If you would like to attend the meeting, please register in advance from registration form.

How to join a Zoom meeting

  1. Please install Zoom according to the section on tool preparation
  2. Please sign in to the account that you created in advance on the Zoom application.
  3. Open the URL you want to participate in from the URL sent to you by e-mail with your browser.
  4. Follow the system dialog and select OK to open the application and join the session.
  5. If the host has opened the room, he or she will enter the waiting room. Please wait until the host gives you permission to enter the room. If your room is not available, please wait until the host opens the room and allows you to enter.
  6. When you enter the room, you will be asked if you want to connect to the computer audio system.
  7. If necessary, please enter your name and affiliation in the "Change Name" section.
  8. Please follow the instructions of the chairperson when asking questions. The audience is muted by default in a Zoom session. Please unmute your question. Please mute me after the question is finished.
  9. Please click the red button on the bottom right to leave the room.

How to participate in Remo

  1. Please open the url shared via e-mail we will send in advance. Google chrome and Firefox are recommended for browsing Remo (More details areexplained in "General information" section).
  2. After opening the url, you are requested to fill your e-mail address in the box. If you have already created your account on Remo at that time, please fill your address in the box. If you haven't created it yet, you can create it to write unregistered e-mail address, so we would like you to write down informations needed acording to the procedure showed to you.
  3. When you enter the room on Remo, you will be asked whether you connect to the computer audio or not, and please connect to them.
  4. After you enter the room, your browser will show the sites with many icons which imitate tables or chairs and the band-like menu which consists of chats, window sharing and etc. Please check the on/off switch of your microphone and camera on the menu below, and double-click to join the table in which a presentation you want to listen to is performed or a person you want to talk with joins (conversations within each table are not heard by others who join in other tables).
  5. A number of persons of each table is limited, so please consider giving your seat to others when you're finished listening.
  6. When you want to leave the room, please press the red-door in the lower right says "Quit event" to do so.
