Conference Format

This conference will be held in person.

Presentation Formats

Two types of presentations are offered: oral presentations and poster presentations.

  1. Oral Presentations

    Oral presentations are offered in two formats: single sessions (50-minute talk + 10-minute Q&A) and parallel sessions (25-minute talk + 5-minute Q&A). Single-session talks are addressed to all conference participants. Parallel sessions are divided into four areas—algebra, geometry, analysis, and mathematical sciences—according to the subject of the talk, and are intended primarily for participants working in the corresponding area. One of the aims of this conference is to promote interaction among young researchers from a wide range of fields. We therefore ask oral presenters to begin with an accessible introduction explaining the background and motivation for their research and their approach to the problem, so that participants outside the speaker’s field can follow the talk. Applicants may indicate a preference for a single or parallel session, but the organizers will make the final assignment.

  2. Poster Presentations

    Poster presenters should prepare an A0-size poster in portrait orientation (118.9 cm × 84.1 cm), or a poster containing a comparable amount of information. The poster session is expected to last approximately one to two hours. Poster presenters will be asked to submit a PDF of their poster in advance. The organizers can also arrange printing and setup at the venue. A Google Form will be sent to poster presenters at a later date to ask whether these services are required. Those requesting printing should submit an A4-size PDF, which the organizers will enlarge and print at A0 size.

Presentation Applications

Presentation applications are scheduled to open on October 1 (Thu.).

Attendance Registration

Those wishing to attend should register in advance using the Google Form, which is scheduled to become available on October 1 (Thu.). Speakers do not need to complete a separate attendance registration.

Banquet

A banquet is planned as part of the conference. It will provide an opportunity for speakers and participants to continue their discussions and connect with one another over a meal. We warmly encourage young researchers to join us. Further details will be announced at a later date.

Publication of the Proceedings (Technical Report Collection)

The content presented at this conference, including poster presentations, is planned to be published as proceedings (a collection of technical reports) in the Hokkaido University Technical Report Series in Mathematics . Speakers will be asked to prepare a manuscript for the proceedings.

Printed copies of the proceedings will not be distributed. PDF files will be made available on the website and may be downloaded or printed as needed.

  • As a general rule, please prepare your technical report using the template below.

  • Please submit an A4-size PDF of 2–10 pages.
  • Japanese is recommended for the main text, although English is also accepted.
  • Please clearly state the novelty of your research.
  • One of the aims of this conference is to promote interaction among researchers from different fields. Please include sufficient introductory material so that the report is accessible to readers outside your area of specialization.

Publication of Presentation Materials on This Website

To provide information to participants, the conference website will publish speakers’ names, presentation titles, abstracts, and technical reports. Please be aware of this when applying.
