History of the seminar
PDE Seminar was started by Professer Taira Shirota in the 1970s as an internal seminar.
In the late 1980s, Professer Koji Kubota, Professer Rentaro Agemi, Professer Yoshikazu Giga and Dr. Yun-Gang Chen promoted its activity. In the early 1990s, Professer Tohru Ozawa and Dr. Kimitoshi Tsutaya changed the seminar into wide-open one as it is now under the name of Applied Analysis Seminar and started to hold it weekly during semesters.
The name of the seminar was changed to its origianal name"PDE Seminar" in 1995.
