On Wednesday afternoon, we are organizing three different group excursions. If you are interested in one of the plans, then please select that plan while filling out the registration form. See also information of each place and information of schedule
Note that the numbers of participants for some plans are limited. When the early-bird registration is closed, all plans of excursion might also close. A plan will also close once it is sold out.
You are welcome to do a self-guided excursion; for example, to the Botanical garden of Hokkaido University. You can see the local information page about Sapporo for some additional ideas.
The maximum number of participants is 40.
We will visit Sapporo Olympic Museaum (札幌オリンピック・ミュージアム) in Spporo Okurayama Ski Jump Stadium (大倉山ジャンプ競技場) and Shiroi Koibito Park (白い恋人パーク).
Spporo Okurayama Ski Jump Stadium is one of the most famous ski jumping venues in Japan. It was used in Winter Olympics in 1972, and FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2007. Spporo Okurayama Ski Jump Stadium has the Sapporo Olymic Museum, a museum for winter olympics.
Shiroi Koibito is a cookie with white chocolate made by Japanese confectionery maker Ishiya. It is one of the most famous sweets in Hokkaido. In Shiroi Koibito Park, we are able to see the Shiroi Koibito production line.
The fee includes tickets for Sapporo Olymic Museaum and Shiroi Koibito Park.

We will stay in Sapporo Olymic Museaum in Spporo Okurayama Ski Jump Stadium from 13:30 to 15:00.
We will stay in Shiroi Koibito Park from 15:30 to 17:30.
We will arrive at Hokkaido University on 18:00.
The historical village of Hokkaido Kaitaku no mura (野外博物館 北海道開拓の村) is an open-air museum which includes historical structures originally built around 1900 from Hokkaido’s frontier period. It has 52 buildings in huge field (around 54ha).
The schedule is as follows:
Meet at Hokkaido University on 13:00.
We will stay in Kaitaku no mura from 13:50 to 17:10.
We will arrive at Hokkaido University on 18:00.
The maximum number of participants is 80.
We will visit Kobayashi Shuzo (小林酒造), which is a sake brewery in Kuriyama. This includes tasting.
The schedule is as follows:
Meet at Hokkaido University on 13:00.
We will stay in Kobayashi Shuzo from 14:30 to 16:30.
We will arrive at Hokkaido University on 18:00.

Sapporo Bier Garten is one of the most famous places of beer and Jingisukan (Genghis Khan, ジンギスカン, 成吉思汗), Hokkaido style BBQ of lamb or mutton.
The fee includes foods and drinks of all-you-can-eat-and-drink style. The following will be served by the buffet style: lamb, chicken, pork, beef, vegetables for BBQ; fried chiken, boiled young soybeen, Kimchi, sausages, pasta, curry, rice, salad, icecream, small cakes. The drinks includes alcoholic drinks, e.g., Sapporo beer, wine, Japanese Sake, some Cocktails, etc., and non-alcoholic drinks, e.g., tea, orange juce, soda, etc. ( food and drink information written in Japanese )
It is approximately 2km from the conference venue, and it expected to be approximately a 30 minute walk.
Our banquet will start on 19:00 and end 21:00 (Last order: 20:40).
