PDE seminar: MRE(Magnetic Resonance Elastography) and measurement of viscoelasticity

Recently, a new measurement modality called MRE
(Magnetic Resonance Elastography) which is a MRI
(Magnetic Resonance Imaging) equipped with a mechanical
vibration system enables to see the shear
wave with attenuation generated in a living body. Via
an inversion scheme using the relation between this
wave and the viscoelasticity of the living human
body, MRE can measure the stiffness of the body.
In this talk, first speaker will present an overview of
MRE system and its latest development, second
speaker will propose new inversion schemes to identify
the stiffness of the bodies from MRE data.
