PDE seminar: Existence and asypmtotic stability of periodically growing solutions of nonlinear parabolic equations

We study the behavior of unbounded global orbits in
a class of strongly monotone semiflows and give a
criterion for the existence of an orbit with periodic
growth. We also prove the uniqueness and asymptotic
stability of the orbit. We apply our results to a
certain class of nonlinear parabolic equations and
show the convergence of solutions to an entire solution
which grows up in infinte time with time-periodic
profile. This talk is based on a joint work with Toshiko
Ogiwara (Josai University).
