 Bounded holomorphic functions on a Riemann surface and the pole sets

 On a planar domain the function f=1/z has the characteristic property that it has only one simple pole and bounded off any neighborhood of the pole. As one may notice from the fact that this meromorphic function f is the kernel function of the Cauchy integral, many functions are produced from it. If, in addition f has the property that 1/f is bounded, then we can say more. Similar story may be considered on Riemann surfaces, which is the main subject of this talk.
