In this talk we will study the initial-boundary value problem for Kirchhoff type plate equation with rotational inertia. Rotational inertia is the term which is derived from rotational motion equation and in engineering, this term is often neglected because it seems that this does not produce so much influences on the behavior of solution. The motivation in this talk is to justify this intuition in a sense. Specifically, we will show that rotational inertia does not produce influences on solvability and long-time dynamics of solution, essentially.
