Planar Harmonic mappings are univalent complex valued harmonic functions whose real and imaginary parts are not necessarily conjugate. In other words, planar harmonic mappings need not be analytic. Such mappings have attracted only after a paper of Clunie and Sheil-Small in 1984, who discovered that many classical results for conformal mapping have analogous results for planar harmonic mappings. We will talk about recent results in this area as well as future directions.
