Our visual systems produce often visual illusions. Recently, by virtue of developments of the experimental brain science, there has been drastic progress in study of clarifying activated parts of brains which perceive certain visual illusions. However, detailed mechanisms of brain's computation producing visual illusions are not still clear. In order to study those mechanisms, I propose nonlinear mathematical models of some parts of the visual information processing in the brain. Fundamental tools of these models are wavelet frames. Further, I describe our new framelets which are constructed based on some experimental facts related to neurons in the primary visual cortex, and also talk on applying our framelets to create new visual illusions.
